relating to education; requiring a state assessments plan.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin STATE ASSESSMENTS PLAN.

new text begin Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the Minnesota Department of Education must
develop a plan to administer the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments under Minnesota
Statutes, section 120B.30, to students during the spring of 2021 regardless of whether
students are participating in distance instruction, on-site instruction, or hybrid instruction.
The plan must include a process for districts to administer assessments remotely at a school
board's discretion.
