  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Hubbard county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; HUBBARD COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Hubbard county may sell by 
  1.11  private sale the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that 
  1.12  is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.  
  1.14     (b) The sale must be in a form approved by the attorney 
  1.15  general. 
  1.16     (c) The land to be sold is located in Hubbard county, 
  1.17  consists of about 0.65 acres, and is described as: 
  1.18     That part of Government Lot 4, Section 15, Township 141 
  1.19     North, Range 33 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, 
  1.20     Hubbard county, Minnesota described as follows:  Commencing 
  1.21     at the southeast corner of said Government Lot 4; thence on 
  1.22     a record bearing of North 87 degrees 38 minutes 33 seconds 
  1.23     West along the south line of said Government Lot 4 a 
  1.24     distance of 530.51 feet to the westerly right-of-way line 
  1.25     of Hubbard county road No. 2 and the POINT OF BEGINNING of 
  2.1      the parcel of land to be described; thence North 26 degrees 
  2.2      36 minutes 27 seconds West along said right-of-way line 
  2.3      125.00 feet; thence North 87 degrees 38 minutes 33 seconds 
  2.4      West 200.00 feet; thence South 28 degrees 56 minutes 56 
  2.5      seconds West 122.30 feet to the south line of said 
  2.6      Government Lot 4; thence South 87 degrees 38 minutes 33 
  2.7      seconds East along said south line 315.28 feet to the POINT 
  2.8      OF BEGINNING.  Subject to easements, restrictions and 
  2.9      reservations of record, if any.  
  2.10     (d) The sale corrects a trespass and the county has 
  2.11  determined that the county's land management interests would 
  2.12  best be served if the lands were returned to private ownership.
