  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to ethanol; restricting ethanol producer 
  1.3             payments for facilities located in cities of the first 
  1.4             class; amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 
  1.5             41A.09, by adding a subdivision.  
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 41A.09, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 3b.  [ETHANOL PLANT IN THE CITY OF THE FIRST 
  1.10  CLASS.] An ethanol plant located in a city of the first class is 
  1.11  not eligible for the ethanol producer payments authorized under 
  1.12  subdivision 3a for ethanol produced after June 30, 2003. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
