  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to community development; providing funding 
  1.3             for Neighborhood Development Center, Inc.; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, INC. 
  1.7   APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $96,500 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.9   commissioner of trade and economic development for each year of 
  1.10  the biennium ending June 30, 2003, for a grant to Neighborhood 
  1.11  Development Center, Inc.  The grant shall be used for 
  1.12  entrepreneur training programs, development and operation of a 
  1.13  Somali marketplace and business assistance to Somali 
  1.14  entrepreneurs, American Indian classes, staffing for the 
  1.15  emerging businesses-emerging neighborhoods program, and alumni 
  1.16  training programs.
