relating to state government; providing that
legislative appropriations continue in effect until
amended or eliminated by law; proposing coding for new
law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin If the legislature does not amend or eliminate an existing
appropriation on or before July 1 of an odd-numbered year, the
existing appropriation provided for the previous fiscal year
remains in effect for future fiscal years until amended or
eliminated by law.
