  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public safety; appropriating money for 
  1.3             grants to the Hennepin county sheriff's office, the 
  1.4             Minneapolis police department, and the bureau of 
  1.5             criminal apprehension for operation of the FBI 
  1.6             Drugfire computer system. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [FBI DRUGFIRE COMPUTER PROGRAM; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.9      $225,000 is appropriated for fiscal year 2000 from the 
  1.10  general fund to the commissioner of public safety for 
  1.11  distribution as grants of $75,000 each to the Hennepin county 
  1.12  sheriff's office, the Minneapolis police department and the 
  1.13  bureau of criminal apprehension for costs of training, 
  1.14  equipment, and operation of the FBI Drugfire computer program 
  1.15  for analyzing bullets and bullet casings.
