  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education; funding appropriations 
  1.3             deficiencies for the 1994-1995 biennium; appropriating 
  1.4             money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS FOR DEFICIENCIES.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.] (a) The sums 
  1.8   indicated in this section are appropriated from the general fund 
  1.9   to the department of education for the fiscal years indicated 
  1.10  for the payment of deficiencies.  These sums shall be added to 
  1.11  the sums appropriated for fiscal years 1994 and 1995 for the 
  1.12  same purposes. 
  1.13     (b) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 124.14, any 
  1.14  excess appropriations for fiscal years 1994 and 1995 shall be 
  1.15  allocated to programs listed under this section.  If the sum of 
  1.16  the excess that is allocated to any program specified in this 
  1.17  section and the appropriations contained in this section for any 
  1.18  program exceed the deficiency, the difference shall cancel to 
  1.19  the state general fund. 
  1.20     Subd. 2.  [SPECIAL EDUCATION AID.] For special education 
  1.21  aid according to Minnesota Statutes, section 124.32:

  1.24     Subd. 3.  [SUMMER SPECIAL EDUCATION AID.] For special 
  1.25  education summer program aid according to Minnesota Statutes, 
  2.1   section 124.32, subdivision 10:

  2.4      Subd. 4.  [LIMITED ENGLISH PROFICIENCY PUPILS PROGRAM AID.] 
  2.5   For aid to educational programs for pupils of limited English 
  2.6   proficiency according to Minnesota Statutes, section 124.273: 
  2.7        $399,000        .....     1994 
  2.8        $545,000        .....     1995 
  2.9      Subd. 5.  [SECONDARY VOCATIONAL; STUDENTS WITH 
  2.10  DISABILITIES.] For aid for secondary vocational education for
