  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to insurance; clarifying that a certain law 
  1.3             includes long-term care insurance; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 2002, section 61B.20, subdivision 10.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 61B.20, 
  1.7   subdivision 10, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 10.  [HEALTH INSURANCE.] "Health insurance" means 
  1.9   accident and health insurance as described in section 60A.06, 
  1.10  subdivision 1, clause (5)(a), long-term care insurance, credit 
  1.11  accident and health insurance regulated under chapter 62B, and 
  1.12  subscriber contracts issued by a nonprofit health service plan 
  1.13  corporation operating under chapter 62C. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
