A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; directing transportation advancement account funds be
used for suicide prevention measures on the Washington Avenue Bridge in the
city of Minneapolis.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 174.49, subdivision 6, from funds received
from the transportation advancement account under Minnesota Statutes, section 174.49,
Hennepin County must award a grant of $15,000,000 to the University of Minnesota to
design and construct suicide barriers and provide suicide diversion information resources
on the Washington Avenue Bridge in the city of Minneapolis.
