A bill for an act
 relating to the revisor of statutes; changing terms in statute related to immigration.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin REVISOR INSTRUCTION; NONRESIDENT ALIEN.

new text begin The revisor of statutes, in collaboration with the house of representatives and senate
nonpartisan staff, shall replace the terms "nonresident alien" and "alien" to "undocumented
immigrant" when the term refers to an immigrant. Where the term "alien" refers to a legal
resident, citizen, or person who is not an individual, such as a business, the term shall not
be replaced.
