relating to state government; appropriating money for public broadcasting.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin PUBLIC BROADCASTING.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2015 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of administration for the purposes specified
below:

new text begin (1) $1,685,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $1,685,000 in fiscal year 2015 are for
matching grants for public television; and

new text begin (2) $315,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $315,000 in fiscal year 2015 are for public
television equipment grants. Equipment or matching grant allocations shall be made after
considering the recommendations of the Minnesota Public Television Association.
