A bill for an act
relating to building codes; modifying plumbing code requirements related
to sump pumps and drain tiles; amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section
326B.43, by adding a subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 326B.43, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

Standards for installation, extension,
alteration, and replacement of sump pumps and drain tiles shall not be included in the
plumbing code and shall be regulated under the State Building Code under this chapter.
