A bill for an act
relating to human services; appropriating money for emergency services grants
and transitional housing.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin EMERGENCY SERVICES GRANTS; TRANSITIONAL HOUSING.

new text begin (a) $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of human
services for the biennium beginning July 1, 2011. Of this appropriation:

new text begin (1) $....... is for transitional housing programs. Up to ten percent of this appropriation
may be used for housing and services which extend beyond 24 months; and

new text begin (2) $....... is for emergency services grants.
new text end

new text begin (b) No more than five percent of this appropriation is available for administrative
expenses. This appropriation is in addition to any base funding and shall become part of
the agency's base.
