A bill for an act
relating to elections; eliminating a requirement
concerning major political party primary results;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 204D.10,
subdivision 1; repealing Minnesota Statutes 2004,
section 204D.10, subdivision 2.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 204D.10,
subdivision 1, is amended to read:
The candidate
for nomination of a major political party for a partisan office
on the state partisan primary ballot who receives the highest
number of votes shall be the nominee of that political party for
