  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to transportation; appropriating money to 
  1.3             commissioner of transportation to study feasibility of 
  1.4             extending Northstar corridor from St. Cloud to Little 
  1.5             Falls. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; NORTHSTAR CORRIDOR FEASIBILITY 
  1.8   STUDY.] 
  1.9      $100,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.10  commissioner of transportation for the purpose of conducting a 
  1.11  study of the feasibility of extending the Northstar 
  1.12  transportation corridor described in Laws 1998, chapter 404, 
  1.13  section 17, subdivision 3, paragraph (c), clause (2), from St. 
  1.14  Cloud to Little Falls, and providing commuter rail service 
  1.15  within this corridor.  The commissioner shall conduct the 
  1.16  feasibility study in consultation with Morrison county, the city 
  1.17  of Little Falls, and the Northstar corridor joint powers 
  1.18  authority.  This appropriation is available until spent.
