  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for 
  1.3             libraries at the University of Minnesota and the 
  1.4             Minnesota state colleges and universities. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $2,500,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1998 and 
  1.8   $2,500,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1999 from the general 
  1.9   fund to the board of regents of the University of Minnesota for 
  1.10  the purchase of library materials. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [MINNESOTA STATE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES; 
  1.12  APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.13     $2,500,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1998 and 
  1.14  $2,500,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1999 from the general 
  1.15  fund to the board of trustees of the Minnesota state colleges 
  1.16  and universities for the purchase of library materials.
