  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; authorizing independent school 
  1.3             district No. 742, St. Cloud, to transfer funds from 
  1.4             the general fund to the capital expenditure fund. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [ST. CLOUD.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 121.912 and 
  1.8   121.9121, or any other law to the contrary, independent school 
  1.9   district No. 742, St. Cloud, may permanently transfer up to 
  1.10  $500,000 of referendum revenue received under Minnesota 
  1.11  Statutes, section 124A.03, each year for fiscal years 1996, 
  1.12  1997, 1998, and 1999 from the general fund to the capital 
  1.13  expenditure fund for purchasing technology for instructional use.
