  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to water; requiring the commissioner of 
  1.3             natural resources to allow the water level of Lake 
  1.4             Pulaski to be lowered.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [LAKE PULASKI WATER LEVEL.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding provisions to the contrary in department of 
  1.8   natural resources protected waters permits, numbers 87-3002 and 
  1.9   87-3033, the commissioner of natural resources shall permit the 
  1.10  Lake Pulaski improvement district in Wright county to lower the 
  1.11  level of Lake Pulaski to an elevation three feet below the 
  1.12  ordinary high-water level, provided the improvement district 
  1.13  meets all other provisions in the permits. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective on the day following final enactment.
