Upon the filing of the petition, the court shall appoint an attorney for the proposed ward, unless such counsel is provided by others.
Counsel shall visit with and, to the extent possible, consult with the proposed ward prior to the hearing and shall be given adequate time to prepare therefor. Counsel shall be given the full right of subpoena and shall be supplied with a copy of all documents filed with or issued by the court.
