     390.34 Qualified county coroner; application of sections 
  390.31 to 390.35. 

    Sections 390.31 to 390.35 do not apply in a county in which 
 there is a person whom the county board deems qualified who will 
 agree to seek election to the office of coroner or, in a county 
 where the coroner is appointed, a person who will accept 
 appointment.  Sections 390.31 to 390.35 are not effective in any 
 county until they have been approved by its county board.
