                         CHAPTER 63-H.F.No. 695 
           An act relating to education; reducing the Askov 
          school board from seven to six members; requiring 
          local approval. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
     Section 1.  [REDUCED BOARD.] 
     (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 123.33, 
subdivision 1, the school board of independent school district 
No. 566, Askov, is reduced from seven to six members. 
     (b) The school board may be increased from six to seven 
members again according to Minnesota Statutes, section 123.33, 
subdivision 1. 
    Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
     Section 1 is effective the day after the clerk of the 
school board of independent school district No. 566 complies 
with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 3.
