                         CHAPTER 28-H.F.No. 422 
           An act relating to the city of West Saint Paul; 
          changing the municipal election day and extending the 
          terms of certain elected officials. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  [WEST SAINT PAUL MUNICIPAL ELECTION DAY.] 
    The municipal election day in the city of West Saint Paul 
is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November in 
even-numbered years.  The terms of office of all elected 
incumbents holding office on the effective date of this section 
are extended to the first business day in January of 1987. 
    Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
    This act is effective for the city of West Saint Paul upon 
approval of its governing body and compliance with Minnesota 
Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 3.
