A bill for an act
 relating to state government; prohibiting former legislators from lobbying the
legislature for a period of two years after leaving legislative office; proposing
coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 10A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

PROHIBITED.

new text begin An individual who is a former member of the legislature may not attempt to influence
legislative action as a lobbyist for a period of two years after leaving legislative office.

of the legislature elected at the 2024 state general election and thereafter.
