A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a realignment of County
Road 19A and 100th Street South in the city of Cottage Grove; authorizing the
sale and issuance of state bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Appropriation. new text end

new text begin $12,500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
fund to the commissioner of transportation for one or more grants to the city of Cottage
Grove and Washington County for predesign, design, right-of-way acquisition, and
construction of (1) a realignment of County Road 19A and 100th Street South and other
streets to support a realignment of County Road 19A and 100th Street South, and (2) a
connection between the newly realigned 100th Street South and U.S. Highway 10. This
project includes construction of a bridge over an adjacent railroad track and construction
of multiuse trails along the roadway.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond
proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
the state in an amount up to $12,500,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
