BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin The sum indicated in this section is appropriated
from the general fund to the Department of Education in the fiscal year designated.

new text begin Teach for America - Twin Cities. new text end

new text begin (a) For a grant to Teach for America - Twin
Cities to address the challenge of recruiting, training, and retaining teachers in the state:

new text begin (1) expenses related to the recruitment, training, and placement of new prospective
teachers;

and system leaders, and the support of local education agencies in talent planning for
high-impact instructional roles and school leadership vacancies; and

new text begin (3) expenses related to the professional development and retention of diverse and
equity-oriented educators.
