A bill for an act
 relating to child care; appropriating money for child care services grants for staff
training.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; CHILD CARE SERVICES GRANTS FOR CHILD
DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE CREDENTIAL COURSEWORK.

new text begin (a) $....... in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services for distribution to child care resource and referral programs for child
care services grants under Minnesota Statutes, section 119B.21. Child care resource and
referral programs must use funds appropriated under this section to award grants to eligible
programs, as defined under Minnesota Statutes, section 119B.21, subdivision 1a, for staff
training related to obtaining a child development associate credential.

119B.21, subdivision 1, paragraph (b).
