A bill for an act
 relating to education finance; modifying the process for approving community
education adults with disabilities programs; requiring reporting; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 124D.19, subdivision 8.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 124D.19, subdivision 8, is amended to read:


Subd. 8.

Program approval.

disabilities, a program and budget must receive approval from thedeleted text end new text begin (a) Beginning July 1,
2024, and at least once every five years thereafter, a district's new text end community education deleted text begin section

any significant changes to the department for approval. For programs offered cooperatively,
the request for approval must include an agreement on the method by which local money

from adults with disabilities and other community organizations providing services to adults
with disabilities.
