relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a wildlife rehabilitation
facility.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; WILDLIFE REHABILITATION CENTER OF
MINNESOTA.

new text begin $4,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2025 to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
(WRC) of Minnesota to design, construct, furnish, and equip a rehabilitation facility on the
WRC campus in the town of Grant. This appropriation also includes money for site
improvements and utilities related to sustainability and to support the facility, including the
construction of in-ground pools for green water management, a geothermal heating and
cooling system, and solar panels.
