A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for renovations on the Haven
for Heroes campus in the city of Anoka; canceling a prior appropriation.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; HAVEN FOR HEROES.

new text begin $500,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Haven for Heroes, a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization, to renovate and repair Cottage 3 and the auditorium on the Haven
for Heroes campus in the city of Anoka. This appropriation includes money for improvements
of a capital nature, including major projects to preserve or replace mechanical, electrical,
plumbing, and security systems; safety and energy efficiency upgrades; roof repairs; and
site renovations to support ongoing operations.

2, section 39, for Eagle's Healing Nest is canceled.
