A bill for an act
 relating to child care; appropriating money for child care services grants for facility
improvements.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; CHILD CARE SERVICES GRANTS.

new text begin (a) $....... in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services for distribution to child care resource and referral programs for child
care services grants for child care facility improvements, including but not limited to
improvements to meet licensing requirements under Minnesota Statutes, section 119B.21,
subdivision 5, paragraph (a), clause (2). In awarding grants under this section, child care
resource and referral programs must prioritize grants for improvements to meet licensing
requirements. The maximum award amount allowed under this section is $.......
