A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for capital improvements at
Mixed Blood Theatre in the city of Minneapolis.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MIXED BLOOD THEATRE.

new text begin $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Mixed Blood Theatre to predesign,
design, construct, equip, and furnish improvements and betterments of a capital nature to
the theater facility at 1501 South Fourth Street in the city of Minneapolis. This appropriation
includes money for HVAC replacement, energy efficiency upgrades, and roof replacement.
This appropriation is onetime and is available until the project is completed or abandoned,
subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
