A bill for an act
 relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for documenting Vietnam
War personal and historical accounts.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; COALITION OF ALLIED VIETNAM WAR
VETERANS.

new text begin $5,750,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $5,750,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from
the arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner of administration for a grant to the
Coalition of Allied Vietnam War Veterans to produce a film series and collect and archive
individual and historical accounts of the Vietnamese, Lao, Cambodian, Hmong, and other
Vietnam War foreign-national ethnic groups; the Central Intelligence Agency; and United
States military veterans, to include personal stories and experiences before, during, and
after the Vietnam War, including experiences as prisoners of war, experiences of genocide,
and experiences of immigration to Minnesota.
