relating to capital investment; appropriating money for Mni Sota Fund.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MNI SOTA FUND.

new text begin $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Mni Sota Fund to acquire real
property for, and to design a new facility in Minneapolis. Mni Sota Fund will create an
Indigenous asset building center equipped with classrooms, office space, and a small business
incubator to support aspiring American Indian entrepreneurs and homeowners. This
appropriation is not available until the commissioner of management and budget determines
that the funds to complete the project as planned are accessible to Mni Sota Fund. This is
a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2026.
