A bill for an act
relating to human services; appropriating money for persons experiencing
homelessness in Olmsted County.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATIONS; OLMSTED COUNTY FUNDING FOR SERVING
HOMELESS PERSONS.

new text begin (a) $1,200,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $1,200,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to Olmsted County
to fund and support shelters and services for persons experiencing homelessness. The grant
must be used to maintain and expand programs and facilities to house and shelter persons
experiencing homelessness and aid transitions to permanent stable housing.
