A bill for an act
relating to arts and cultural heritage; requiring a report from agencies receiving
arts and cultural heritage funding; amending Minnesota Statutes 2022, section
129D.17, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 129D.17, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Each fiscal agent that receives money from the arts and cultural heritage
fund in a biennial budget must submit a report by February 15 of the next odd-numbered
year to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with
jurisdiction over the legacy arts and cultural heritage fund. Each report must cover the two
years prior to the report and include:

new text begin (1) an accounting of money that has been distributed;

new text begin (2) an accounting of money not yet expended;
new text end

new text begin (3) summary information on programs supported by the money;
new text end

new text begin (4) summary information on competitive grant programs when offered; and
new text end

new text begin (5) grant information for grants provided to individuals, entities, or organizations,
including whether the programs or projects awarded money have been completed.
