A bill for an act
 relating to health care; appropriating money for the CentraCare Health System
University of Minnesota Medical School Campus.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CENTRACARE HEALTH SYSTEM UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA
MEDICAL SCHOOL; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin (a) $72,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for programs at the University
of Minnesota Medical School Campus on the CentraCare Health System Campus in St.
Cloud. This appropriation may be used for tuition support, a residency program, a rural
health research program, a program to target scholarships to students from diverse
backgrounds, and a scholarship program targeted at students who will practice in rural areas.
