A bill for an act
relating to taxation; local lodging; authorizing the city of Woodbury to use a portion
of its lodging tax for specific purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CITY OF WOODBURY; USE OF LOCAL LODGING TAX.

new text begin Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 469.190, subdivision 3, or any other
provision of law, ordinance, or city charter, the city of Woodbury may dedicate up to
two-thirds of the revenue derived from the lodging tax imposed under Minnesota Statutes,
section 469.190, subdivision 1, for capital improvements to public recreational facilities.
The city must use the remaining proceeds derived from the tax as required under Minnesota
Statutes, section 469.190, subdivision 3.

city of Woodbury and its chief clerical officer comply with Minnesota Statutes, section
645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
