A bill for an act
relating to transportation; appropriating money for improvements to a segment of
Trunk Highway 50 between Trunk Highway 52 and U.S. Highway 61.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin TRUNK HIGHWAY 50 SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for a grant to Dakota County to improve and restore the pavement structure
of marked Trunk Highway 50 between marked Trunk Highway 52 and U.S. Highway 61.
Other project work shall include drainage improvements along the corridor, replacement
of culverts, ensuring a traversable safety slope and reconstructing the County Road 85
(Hogan Avenue) intersection for ADA compliance and improved pedestrian safety.
