A bill for an act
relating to agriculture; appropriating money for a mobile livestock processing
facility for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin MOBILE LIVESTOCK PROCESSING FACILITY; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2021 to the Board of
Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities to purchase a mobile livestock
processing facility, prepare a site to operate the facility, and pay necessary permit fees and
other costs associated with putting the facility into operation. The board may enter into a
cooperative agreement with a private entity to operate the facility when it is not being used
for instruction. The board may match this appropriation with private funds.
