relating to environmental protection; appropriating money to hire additional
regulatory staff.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2022 and $....... in fiscal year 2023 are appropriated from the general
fund to the commissioner of the Pollution Control Agency for the purpose of hiring two
full-time employees as inspectors to assist in preventing accidental releases of hazardous
chemicals from facilities that manufacture, store, use, or otherwise handle certain quantities
of harmful chemical substances under section 112(r) of the federal Clean Air Act, United
States Code, title 42, section 7401, et seq.
