A bill for an act
relating to liquor; authorizing Douglas county to issue a liquor license to the Lakes
Area Theatre.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DOUGLAS COUNTY; ON-SALE LICENSE.

new text begin Notwithstanding any law or ordinance to the contrary, Douglas County may issue an
on-sale wine license to the Lakes Area Theatre located at 2214 Geneva Road NE, or to an
entity holding a management or concessions contract with the theatre. The license under
this section authorizes the sale of wine only to persons attending events held at the theatre,
for consumption on the theatre premises. The license under this section authorizes sales on
all days of the week. All other provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 340A, not
inconsistent with this section, apply.
