A bill for an act
relating to education; authorizing a school district to begin distance learning for
high school students prior to Labor Day.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin LABOR DAY START FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS; DISTANCE
LEARNING.

Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 120A.40, a school district engaging in
distance learning may begin the school year on any day before Labor Day for students in
grades 9 through 12.
