A bill for an act
relating to vocational rehabilitation; appropriating money for centers for
independent living; appropriating money for career education and job skills training
for low-income individuals.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATIONS.

new text begin (a) $3,011,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $3,011,000 in fiscal year 2019 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for
grants to centers for independent living under Minnesota Statutes, section 268A.11.

new text begin (b) $500,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2019 are appropriated from
the workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic
development for a grant to Resource, Inc. to provide low-income individuals career education
and job skills training that are fully integrated with chemical and mental health services.
