A bill for an act
 relating to Hennepin County; providing for filing of approved law modifying
certain duties and procedures.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin HENNEPIN COUNTY; FILING OF APPROVED LAW.

new text begin Notwithstanding the time limits of Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision
3, the chief clerical officer of Hennepin County may file with the secretary of state a
certificate of approval of Laws 2009, chapter 50, sections 1 and 2, which was approved
by the Hennepin County Board on June 16, 2009. The certificate must be filed by June
30, 2015. If the certificate is filed as required by this section, Laws 2009, chapter 50,
sections 1 and 2, are effective retroactively from June 16, 2009, and apply to all actions
taken by the Hennepin County Board, the Hennepin County Human Resources Board, or
any employees of Hennepin County on or after that date.
