A bill for an act
 relating to education finance; providing a grant to expand the Jobs for America's
Graduates program in Minneapolis; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin JOBS FOR AMERICA'S GRADUATES PROGRAM;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $275,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $412,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated from
the general fund to the Department of Education for grants to special school district No.
1, Minneapolis, to expand the scope of the Jobs for America's Graduates program at the
current Minneapolis sites and to extend the program to at least one new site. The grants
are available to the school district after it documents to the commissioner of education's
satisfaction that an agreement is in place with at least one Minnesota State College and
University campus to provide concurrent enrollment opportunities and career pathways
for at-risk youth participating in the Jobs for America's Graduates program.
