A bill for an act
relating to public safety; appropriating money for fire-fighting foam needed
to extinguish oil-related fires.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin FIRE-FIGHTING FOAM; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of public safety for grants to the municipal airports in the cities of Blaine and Crystal
to procure the fire-fighting foam needed to suppress a fire in the event of an oil train
derailment or other oil-related fire incident. Any fire-fighting foam procured under this
section must be available for use by either the municipal airport or fire department in
the cities of Blaine and Crystal.
