A bill for an act
relating to transportation; highways; requiring a noise barrier on a segment of
marked U.S. Highway 10 and marked Interstate Highway 35W in Mounds View.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin NOISE WALL; MARKED U.S. HIGHWAY 10 AND MARKED
INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35W.

new text begin (a) By November 1, 2015, the commissioner of transportation shall establish a
noise barrier on the south side of marked U.S. Highway 10 from the terminus of the
existing barrier near Ardan Park in the city of Mounds View, extending easterly along the
southbound entrance to marked Interstate Highway 35W, and continuing southerly along
the west side of marked Interstate Highway 35W to a point at the overpass at Ramsey
County State-Aid Highway 3, also known as County Road I.

identified in paragraph (a), but must replace walls in the highway right-of-way that do
not reasonably provide a barrier to noise.
