relating to agriculture; requiring a livestock industry study.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin LIVESTOCK INDUSTRY STUDY.

new text begin The commissioner of agriculture must identify causes of the relative growth or
decline of poultry and livestock production in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South
Dakota, Wisconsin, and Nebraska over the last ten years. No later than February 1,
2016, the commissioner must report findings by poultry and livestock sector and provide
recommendations on how to strengthen and expand Minnesota animal agriculture to the
legislative committees with jurisdiction over agriculture policy and finance.
