A bill for an act
 relating to liquor; authorizing municipalities to allow off-sales on Sundays;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 340A.504, subdivision 4.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 340A.504, subdivision 4, is amended to
read:


Subd. 4.

Intoxicating liquor; off-sale.

new text begin (a) new text end No sale of intoxicating liquor may
be made by an off-sale licensee:

(1) on Sundays;

(2) before 8:00 a.m. or after 10:00 p.m. on Monday through Saturday;

(3) on Thanksgiving Day;

(4) on Christmas Day, December 25; or

(5) after 8:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, December 24.

new text begin (b) Notwithstanding paragraph (a), a municipality may authorize off-sale licensees
or a municipal liquor store under its jurisdiction to make off-sales of intoxicating liquor on
any day, provided that no sale may be made before 8:00 a.m. or after 10:00 p.m.
