A bill for an act
relating to higher education; providing information on textbook prices to
students; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, sections 135A.25, by adding a
subdivision; 136F.58, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 135A.25, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin A postsecondary institution that receives
information under this section or receives textbook pricing information under the Higher
Education Opportunity Act, Public Law 110-315, must make information on the pricing
and costs of textbooks and course material available, in an easily accessible and timely
manner, to students enrolled in that postsecondary institution.

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 136F.58, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:
